Bede McNamara
Director - HC Plumbing
Bede is the driving force behind HC Plumbing. Having started the company in 2011, the business has grown from strength to strength. Emerging from a one-man band he started his career as a supervisor on commercial and large residential sites across QLD and NZ. He then settled in Toowoomba, and now has a team under his management with the company being local specialists in their field.
Bede has over 25 years of industry experience with his key responsibilities now being sales, Business Management and Development, design, and recruitment.
He is extremely passionate about wastewater treatment, hydronic under floor heating, heat pump hot water systems, and water filtration.
Outside of work, he enjoys quality time with his wife and 3 daughters, Mountain biking, playing Futsal and watching “the wahs” NRL.
His favourite holiday destination is somewhere chilled and relaxing – Pacific Islands, Coastal QLD or his home country New Zealand.
Peter Tickle
Operations Manager
Peter has been in the Plumbing Industry for 19 years having started his apprenticeship in Moree, NSW in 2005.
He’s a valued member of the team and his special areas of expertise are Project and Labour Management, coupled with problem solving abilities.
Peter’s skillset is varied and he holds formal qualifications in CERT IV Plumbing & Drainage, CERT IV Project Management and various machine operator tickets
His responsibilities include overseeing the say to day operations including job scheduling, project management and client liaison.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys relaxing and spending time with his wife and two children, going to the gym and watching sports.
His favourite holiday destination is heading to Vanuatu.
Fiona Gersekowski
Office Manager
Fiona has 15 years experience in administration, with a background in Real Estate. During her Real Estate career, she gained many valuable skills such as networking, customer service and conflict resolution. She also developed an appreciation for various trades and the essential role they play in our day to day lives after dealing with this firsthand.
Her key tasks include payroll, accounts, managing staff and the running of the office, along with administrative support.
She has previously studied Business administration and will be looking to upskill her professional development in the future.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two children, renovating her house or doing minor improvements and staying active.
Her favourite holiday destination is Vanuatu and North QLD.
Carla Smith
Office & Contracts Administrator
Carla has been an administrator in the Plumbing Industry for 3 years and is a key member of the team. Her friendly voice will greet you when you phone the office, and she always goes the extra mile to deliver a high level of customer service.
Her role is integral in the day to day operations of our team as she is responsible for scheduling jobs, invoicing and providing administrative support where required.
Carla has Certificates in Small Business Accounting, Starting and Managing a Small Business and Small Business Marketing & Advertising.
Outside of work she enjoys keeping active with Reformer or mat Pilates, running and long walks.
Her favourite holiday destination is Italy.
Kylie Zabel
Designer Drafter
Kylie is our Designer and drafter for HC Plans. She has been with the company for 5 years and overall has 10 years experience as a designer and drafter.
She developed an interest in Plumbing having grown up around Plumbing as her Dad, Uncle, Cousin, Sister and Sister’s Partner are all Plumbers.
Her key role includes Collaborating with owners, builders, plumbers, developers and councils on a technical level, Problem solving, and Providing practical, professional, cost effective and complaint solutions.
Her knowledge of plumbing drainage systems, water reticulation, stormwater and on site sewerage system codes and Australian standards accompanies with her expertise in Drafting and documentation of hydraulic services in AutoCAD software is second to none.
Outside of work her interests are equestrian including showjumping, horse training and teaching horse riding lessons.
Her favourite holiday destination is Japan.
